volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-19The Beetle carries on in its second generation with a look that’s more serious in a style that’s immediately recognizable.

Here’s my full review of the Beetle on

I liked the styling. I liked the original one too, like this black one, until it became so common that it felt mundane. That’s the opposite of what fun-sporty car buyers are looking for.

volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-9This revised one, with its narrower windows and squatter stance, is fresher and still quite appealing.

volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-36Nice contours and curves.

volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-17The Beetle’s short 168.4-inch length makes it very parkable in the city…

volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-43…a fact which many San Franciscans seem to have figured out. This driveway is just long enough to keep its Beetle off the sidewalk.

volkswagen_beetle_2015_3-10The speed warning that could be set to sound off at 160 mph was fun.

Tell me in the comments – what do YOU think of the second-gen Beetle?
