The Beetle carries on in its second generation with a look that’s more serious in a style that’s immediately recognizable.
Here’s my full review of the Beetle on BestRide.com.
I liked the styling. I liked the original one too, like this black one, until it became so common that it felt mundane. That’s the opposite of what fun-sporty car buyers are looking for.
This revised one, with its narrower windows and squatter stance, is fresher and still quite appealing.
Nice contours and curves.
The Beetle’s short 168.4-inch length makes it very parkable in the city…
…a fact which many San Franciscans seem to have figured out. This driveway is just long enough to keep its Beetle off the sidewalk.
The speed warning that could be set to sound off at 160 mph was fun.
